![]() ![]() No one ever came and no one ever contacted us again to solve the problem so the casita was not part of our stay. The property manager said they would send someone out right away to fix it. We called the property manager back to tell them this and that we could not stay in the casita because it was easily shutting and locking and we did not want anyone to be locked inside. It worked, but the door mechanism on the casita was sticking and difficult to open. The key was unmarked so we would never have known it was for the casita. The next morning, I called again and got ahold of a person who said to use a key found in a basket with laundry information. We got no response and had to have people sleep on the floor inside the main house. Then I sent an email explaining that we could not get in. We called the property manager right away (late afternoon) and left a message. The code did not work on the casita because there was no code box. Both said to use the code to enter the house and casita. We arrived and referred to our arrival instructions as well as the property book inside the house. The negative was the complete lack of communication with the property manager. The house is large and comfortable, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked, the AC worked great, the beds were super comfortable, the pool is large and clean, and the grounds were very large and private. ![]() Compound living at it's best!įirst, the positives. Don't have to worry about neighbors yelling at you about noise. ![]() All in all an excellent house and huge property fit for kids and family. Was a bit bummed about both events but management was responsive. We also noticed the gameroom toilet didn't work and they sent a plumber out but they couldn't fixe it until the day we left. We did have issues with the internet when we got there but they fixed it by the next day. ![]() Communication with property management was great. Also, the master connects through a huge "jack and jill" walk in closet that can easily fit a crib for a baby and would be super quiet. It has 5 true bedrooms but the gameroom is enough to sleep in on futon couches and it's own bathroom. The mega front yard is 100% real grass and is a "chipping green" but also just fun for running around, soccer, or a catch. The gameroom is huge and plenty of air conditioning. All doors in house have a upper lock to keep kids out of pool area and in house as needed. It's deep too and has an awesome jumping rock. The pool is a lot bigger than the photos show. Great house, awesome property! The photos don't really do it justice. Bottom line, would we rent this place again? In a heartbeat! We couldn't get the exiting gate sensors to activate by walking up to them. We were disappointed not to have pool heat for the first part of the week, our warmest days (instructions in the house notebook would have been helpful), but we loved the hot tub. DLE was very receptive to our needs for more linens and towels and helping with a plumbing problem. All bathrooms are accessed via a bedroom - no powder room. But hey, if you get the biggest room, you can manage that. As noted in another review, the master suite only accesses the main house via another bedroom or by going outside. We loved cooking in the large kitchen, which was well-stocked with dishes and serving pieces, though the pots & pans and glassware should be upgraded. We enjoyed the pleasant decor, and the living room was a comfortable setting for our Christmas celebration, as well as for conversations or reading. Enhanced by the beautiful and private outdoor areas, this lovely home worked very well for our family of 12, ranging in age from 3-94. ![]()
